Description

Offering a truly unique (meets the definition) two piece set of mid-century clipboards used
on the WW-II Battleship Wisconsin by Cap. Henry Chester Bruton, USN (1905-2001).
Bruton commanded the Wisconsin 2-33-52 to 9-24-52.
The
set of two
of the very heavy chrome clipboards were used to safely contain the
“Incoming” and “Outgoing” Communiques.  The “Incoming” board bore the words,
U.U.S. Wisconsin (BB-64) at the top.   The middle of the board bore the word
“Incoming”.  The base of the board bore “Captain H. C. Bruton U.S. Navy.
The “Outgoing” Board bore the same lettering.
These clipboards are a great piece of history for a collector, and great
conversation starters placed upon a wall.  Unique? - yes, YOU WILL NOT FIND
these anywhere else!
Although Pre-Owned, these clipboards are in very good condition, with the
covers darkened by salty sea mist, and the inside almost as new.
