Vtg Stride Rite Box White Leather Baby Shoes Pre Walkers 2 & Moccasins 4 1/2 D
Here are 2 vintage original Stride Rite shoe boxes with pre-owned condition baby / toddler white leather shoes. One pair of shoes however does not match the size stated on the box. Also included is a pair of extra white shoelaces and a pair of Keep-Tys shoelace keepers with attached bells.
I have placed a ruler in some pictures for size reference.
- "Stride Rite Pre-Walkers" Box: stamped on a box end: A2 CRIB 1109 2" and has a Hess department store sticker. There is a pair of size 2 soft white leather moccasins that tie. Each shoe is marked on the inside of the tongue: 1109 2. Gently worn condition - show light wear and aging, light soiling on the soles. Intact shoelace aglets. I measure each shoe to be approx. 4 1/2" long x 2" wide. The box shows light wear and there is a piece of tissue paper inside that may be original.
- "Stride Rite" Box: stamped on a box end: F1 CAROLINE 33085 09 5 1/2D. There is a full and partial Overland Trading Co. sticker on the box edge. There is an old hang tag clipped to this box end - with handwritten "Caroline WT. PATENT 5 1/2D". Please note however that the pair of walker shoes inside this box are actually size 4 1/2D, and I do not know the style name. Each shoe is stamped inside 4 1/2D 2433 8LO 013408. Hard "Genuine Leather Soles"show light wear, scuffs and soiling. The leather is clean with light smudges and wear, some scuffs to white polish (more on the right shoe). White shoelaces have minor soiling, aglets are intact. I measure each shoe to be approx. 5 1/4" long x 2 3/8" wide. The box shows light wear and handwritten on the bottom is "Candice's First Shoes".
- pair of white hard plastic "KEEP-TYS" with attached silver-tone metal jingle bells. Used condition, soiling and aging. Some chipping around the upper rims. One hinged lid stays shut when closed and the other may pop open.
- pair of 18 1/2" long white shoelaces with intact aglets. Clean and bright, may be unused.
No musty or smoke odor.
