Fresh from a local estate. Untouched, as found. Pink/white/black flying birds and pink/white evergreen trees design. No cracks, chips, nor signs of repair. Visible utensil marks on top side of platter (photo #2). Platter measures approximately 9 3/4 inches long by 7 7/8 inches wide. Photo #4 shows a rough, short scrape mark in glaze. Underside marked "SYRACUSE CHINA ECONO-RIM 4-U TRADE MARK PATENTED" as well as "The TRAVELER" and "DESIGNED ESPECIALLY FOR Milwaukee Road DINING CAR SERVICE". Date mark is 4-U. Underside of plate also stamped with a railroad stamp of the letter "G" (photos #9 & 10). Photos #6, 7, & 8 show tiny yellowish bits embedded in glaze around bottom of platter likely from kiln and firing process. No reserve. Free domestic shipping.
