    Description

    Up for auction is an aluminum inspectors plate from the USS NEW DD-818.  This inspector plaque was for the Torpedo Handling Boom Static Test - 1,200 LBS Date 7-74.  Inspectors initials HB are stamped inside the circle.  The aluminum plate measures 4 inches x 2 inches.  I'm not sure if it was ever mounted.  The USS New received the USN Meritorious Unit Commendation for their part in the Apollo 13 Recovery.  The USS New was active from 1945-1976.  Sales Tax Collected By eBay
