We don't stock Upton Basses. Each is built and setup for the musician who orders it. The bass we build for you is YOUR bass, built for YOU in a way precious few things are these days.  It's a process that begins with YOU, not a factory half way around the world.  Whether it is a one of a kind custom or our standard workshop models, it's all built just for you.

The UB Standard Hybrid Upright Bass represents our entry-level hybrid upright bass, carefully conceived with the playability and resonance of all our models.  We believe it is the most musical and finest built hybrid double bass available at this price.
The UB Standard Hybrid is a roundback contrabass with a carved spruce top and plywood back and sides.  All of our plywood is made in-house from our own tonewood veneers, and the top is carved by the same luthiers who make all of the custom Upton basses!  Its design is based on the gamba pattern of the Upton Bohemian Model.  The UB Standard Hybrid is hand built in Mystic, Connecticut and features top grade ebony components, top-quality tuning machines, our best quality bridge and more.
This package price includes bridge adjusters and D'Addario strings.

The end of the fingerboard is straight cut (no solo swoop extension).  The hand applied varnish is a medium dark walnut color.  A bass bag is not included.  Please check out our selection of contrabass bags and pickups!
The Standard is built on our Bohemian pattern with a string length of 41.5" and a D neck. For sizing variations, please talk to us about building a custom Bohemian Model.

Shipping cost:
eBay should be calculating all shipping costs, with the exception of DOUBLE BASSES.  Instruments ship by FREIGHT carriers and rates must be calculated by hand based on your area.  Please contact us PRIOR to bidding for a shipping estimate.
Delivery time:
