    Description

Here you have a wonderful bit of VINTAGE HISTORICAL MEMORABILIA! Please...SEE THE SCANS!!! This is AN ORIGINAL NOVEMBER 4, 1906 SUBSISTENCE DEPARTMENT MENU FROM THE U.S. ARMY TROOP TRANSPORT SHIP "THOMAS." This is a medium-stock card that measures 7 1/4 inches X 4 5/8 inches. The back has a cartoon image of the ship, which reads "SHE AIN'T NO FIGHTER HERSELF, BUT SHE DELIVERS THE GOODS." The front has the menu with the date. As you can see the ink is very faded on it. This ship was carrying troops to fight the PHILIPPINES INSURRECTION.... Earlier--in 1901--transported to the Philippines over 500 teachers who organized a volunteer effort, known as Thomasites (a precursor to the Peace Corps)... You can see the crease on the upper right corner. This is faded and has some discoloration. Not mint but okay and a very rare find! This is a great piece FOR THE COLLECTOR! Take it home with you! GOOD LUCK! Please Check Out My Ebay Store for more great memorabilia!!! I am happy to send this to any country. 1st class air postage will be charged… More excellent packaging and free 1st class shipping here in the United States! THANKS! 101115
