Very RARE Original Antique Victorian CHILD's Leather Low-Style Shoe/Sandal w/Strap, c1870!!!
DESCRIPTION:
Here is a single antique Victorian c.1870 child's shoe. I won't guess at the size, but bottom sole is 4 3/4" long and just 2" high. Probably about a 2-3 year old child. Soft brown
leather on the bottom. Nice soft white lining.
Beautiful period color for a baby or girl's shoe, kind of a silverish-blue leather. VERY APPEALING PERIOD COLOR!!
Has a strap to go around the ankle, as shown. Rest of it is a low cut style. Excellent condition overall, except the button on the strap is missing. Obviously not worn excessively and taken excellent care of over the past 150 YEARS!!! This meant a lot to a lot of people over this time that it is still here, and in such good condition.
A nice early, unusual antique child's shoe, EVEN THOUGH ONLY A SINGLE, STILL VERY UNIQUE AND A NICE ADDITION TO AN ANTIQUE CHILD'S SHOE COLLECTION.
