Raimundo 128 = David Perry 128p classical guitar spruce/ EIR

Spruce/ East Indian rosewood.
p of the 128p is for Perry I believe.
Very nice sounding and playing classical guitar. Value for money classical guitar imported from Spain by David Perry. My understanding is that he had Raimundo build guitars to his specs and then he imported them and sold them in USA. You can see a couple Raimundo 128 guitars being sold from UK on reverb around 0 with 0 shipping. Maybe they are much same quality/ design? - this David Perry has 128p on label.
It plays perfectly and sounds very good. Actually very responsive. Sounds very alive. Has loud harmonics - good for practicing them - maybe just a 7th fret marker would be nice to keep your bearings trying to learn harmonic positions!
There is significant clouding of the finish on the back. Otherwise it would likely be in excellent condition, or nearly mint - just a couple small and tiny not particularly noticeable marks or scuffs.
As I have been informed by pro luthier Darren Hippner who was previous owner -
Cloudy in the clear varnish , called blushing , during the humid months water gets trapped inside and makes it cloudy .
Mr Darren Hippner also most recently set up the guitar:
I lowered the saddle , it was 5 mm on the bass and 4 mm on the treble .
Should be good to go now with a touch of saddle left to lower if desired.
Strung with new D'addario strings.
I just measured 3.6mm low E and 3.3mm high E. Seems even lower. Plays extremely easily. You wouldn't want or need any lower. Not really any room to lower any more anyway I don't think! But for me it's set up perfect.
Pro set up and new strings. Really does sound good and plays better. Can't really go wrong. A very adequate student model guitar. I may sell this locally very soon. Will ship in hard shell case.
