Palatino 3/4 Double Bass Adjustable Bridge Removable Neck for Touring Bridge PUP

This is a pre-owned Palatino VB004 3/4 size double bass. You'll notice that this bass is priced higher than other basses of this model and that's because it has been recently serviced by the great double bass luthier Randy Hunt. He has upgraded it with a brand new adjustable bridge (buying this bass new they are non-adjustable). This bass has also been upgraded so that the neck is removable for the economy of space when touring. The neck is held in by a single bolt, which the wrench with the red handle in the photos is for. I also had Randy plane the fingerboard so it's nice and smooth. Make no mistake, this is a cheap Chinese-made bass with several upgrades catered toward a touring acoustic-style musician. Since the bass isn't all made of carved wood it lends itself to music that benefits from a nice cutting bass line- like old school jazz, swing, rockabilly, old school country, that kind of thing. This is a working musician's bass in fully operable condition. Comes with a Realist bridge pickup which runs retail at 9.99.
