Large, 8 x 10-1/2 inch invitation, on heavy paper reads: Kaiser Co Inc. Cordially Invites You To The Launching Of The U.S.S. General Charles G. Morton All Woman Ceremony Program 12:05 PM Christening 12:30 PM Saturday March 11th 1944 Enclosed Pass Will Admit You To The Ceremonies At Richmond Yard Three. For bidding the invite only, do not have the passes mentioned in invitation. Sorry to say this document is in only fair condition, moderate damage and staining mostly along right edge. I have shown it clearly. Still displays beautifully, as you can see here. About as good a relic of the home front war effort as I have had the honor to offer here, over these twenty-three years.
