    Description

Decorative plate shows artwork of Norfolk & Western (N&W) 2156 2-8-8-2 Y6a Mallet (articulated) Steam Locomotive next to a Position Light Signal during wintertime in what appears to be a small, snowy, Appalachian town in the eastern United States in the 1940s or 1950s.
The plate measures 8.1875 inches in diameter and weighs 11.5 ounces, including the plate holder. The spring-loaded plate holder is included in this sale and appears to be able to be hung by a nail on a wall. The back of the plate says:
“Coal Country from the Winter Rails Plate Collection by Ted Xaras.
Limited to a total of 28 firing days
    Plate number 1996C
