    Description

Professional Level Flamenco Guitar - 2017 Hermanos Sanchis-Lopez 1F Extra negra, ex Spyros Tsiolis, in Mint Condition
The current owner purchased this superb East Indian rosewood and spruce 2017 Hermanos Sanchis-Lopez 1F from its first owner, the brilliant Greek guitarist Spyros Tsiolis, in December 2020. Spyros had obtained it earlier in 2020 directly from the Sanchis brothers in Valencia. Apparently it had been a special order with 650 mm scale and French polished soundboard, but the original customer who commissioned it in 2017 was ultimately unable to take delivery, and the patient Sanchis brothers eventually added it to their showroom stock. Spyros was happy with this guitar and as you can verify did some spectacular recording with it, but put his Sanchis up for sale when he had a chance to trade up to a superb Jorge de Zofia negra, with which he is presently performing.
In the world of flamenco it is well appreciated that Sanchis-Lopez 1F Extra guitars are professional-level work-horse instruments that provide without serious dispute some of the best value for money in flamenco luthierie. There are arguably better flamenco guitars to be found, but typically the privilege of owning a top-tier Granada or Seville guitar will cost you at least twice to three times the price of a good Sanchis. Artists including Rafael Cortes have built careers playing Sanchis-Lopez guitars, and their sound (and feel) is real flamenco. This particular instrument has the thinnest lacquer I have ever seen on a Sanchis and is highly unusual in that its soundboard is French polished. It also has a custom 650 mm string scale, which is very comfortable. Like all Sanchis guitars built after 2014, it has a graphite reinforced neck for a lifetime of stability. It is set up for a professional player including a custom bridge saddle that suited Spyros: the action is low and this guitar is super playable. It has a great bass sound and trebles that sing. Every note projects. Its quality is amply evident on the videos.
The current owner of this Sanchis 1F Extra is absolutely happy with it – in truth adores it – but a long-coveted custom-designed negra, now under construction in upstate New York, will be arriving this autumn and I will soon own too many flamenco guitars to be able to do them proper justice with the regular playing they deserve and need. This instrument is professional level and should be in the hands of a working performer or serious amateur.
Please – serious inquiries only from flamenco players or guitar collectors. The guitar is priced to go quickly, and is a super value.
Shipping to you will be by FedEx Ground at the seller's expense to the lower 48 states only, unless other shipping arrangements are made prior to sale. No returns.
